New Pathways EDI: Making a Real Difference

At New Pathways, our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) goes beyond rhetoric by putting our words into demonstrable action. We strive to be leaders in bringing about positive change and improvements in the recruitment industry.

Our Pledge

We are mindful of our attitude to equity, diversity, and inclusion, as we want to develop our candidate pool to authentically represent the diversity of the communities we serve. We encourage the promotion of underrepresented groups with clearly defined career development paths, networking opportunities, and career-changing mentorships.

Perpetual Improvement

New Pathways is on a continual journey of improvement, constantly reviewing practices and incorporating new learnings, but more importantly, we listen to our people and value what they have to say. At work, we ensure every employee's success is based solely on their talent, performance, or potential, as we want everyone to feel they can be their authentic selves.

EDI in Action

To guarantee that our commitment to EDI becomes a reality and not just words on paper, we've instigated policies, initiatives, and practices that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion across our business.

EDI Training

We have regular diversity and inclusion training sessions on subjects that include identifying unconscious bias, cultural competence, and using inclusive communication. This training helps us to better understand, appreciate, and value differences and be more respectful and inclusive to everyone we interact with.

Focused Recruitment

We value and appreciate the benefits of a diverse workforce and actively seek candidates from all backgrounds.

Inclusive Policies

We have been careful to stamp out discrimination, harassment, and bias and have policies to prevent non-inclusive behaviours, especially in recruitment, promotion, and training.

Employee Resources

We support employee-led resource groups that advance diversity and inclusion within New Pathways. These groups offer a safe space for sharing experiences and perspectives and educating colleagues on pertinent issues.

Accessible for All

Our commitment to inclusivity means making our services and facilities as accessible for everyone as we can, including those with disabilities. We undertake regular evaluations to pinpoint areas of deficiency and discover what we can do better before implementing those improvements.

At New Pathways, we believe in creating a safe space for staff to talk openly about equity, diversity, and inclusion, even when it is uncomfortable to do so.
